Can we limit the number of notifications in a given period?

We have a pretty busy site, with about 60 to 80 posts per day.

Is it possible to

  1. Send notification digest
  2. Or limit number of notifications in a given time

I published about 18 posts, then when I went to my browser as a reader, there were 18 popups. It may scare away the subscribers from the notification system.

Hey there! There is currently no way to limit subscriptions from the back-end. You can only do it from the front-end (API, Plugin, etc.).
